about

French composer Claude Debussy once said, "I have made my mysterious nature my religion".
It's in that spirit that I started working on interpreting five of his many masterpieces electronically.
His orchestration is fantastic and complete, so I sought something more than just decorating a symphony orchestra with synthetic timbres. That has been done before and probably better.
Debussy's music is for me to travel inwards, into the human nature. My interpretations focus on this impressionistic quality and fragmentary symbolic mindset beyond the notes and tones.
It may not be a trip for everyone, but the process has really enrichen me as an electronic composer, and I felt both admiration and gratitude during the journey. Et voilà!
