about

Four selected work by Lili Boulanger (1893-1918), interpreted on synthesizer by Synclassica.

With the twelfth release from Synclassica, an entire album is finally dedicated to a female composer - Lili Boulanger. Her short life is as captivating as her music. She stands musically alongside Gabriel Fauré and Claude Debussy, although her music is sometimes even more mysterious and soul-searching with her gaze towards the tonal horizon. Although the themes often revolve around the ideals in art and poetry of the beginning of the last century, there is an urban quality – Parisian living that she was. This I wanted to touch and color with updated sounds on the new album 'Electronic Boulanger'.
